Wounded Warrior Project: Birdies for the Brave
PGA TOUR’s Birdies for the Brave Supports Wounded Warriors
The PGA TOUR’s motto of “These guys are good” extends well beyond a TOUR player’s ability to play the game. In fact, it extends beyond the generosity and commitment of the PGA TOUR players and into the members and guests who play any of the PGA TOUR’s TPC network clubs around the country.
TPC members and guests have given generously through PGA TOUR-sponsored fundraising initiatives, including Birdies for the Brave, that directly benefit three non-profit groups, including the Wounded Warrior Project, which is supported by PGA TOUR players Frank Lickliter II, Jason Gore, and Nick Watney.
These and other fund and awareness-raising efforts supported by the PGA TOUR and TPC network clubs are aiding America Supports You, a nationwide program launched by the U.S. Department of Defense that recognizes citizens’ support for military men and women and communicates that support back to members of our Armed Forces at home and abroad. Wounded Warrior Project is a proud “homefront group,” a recognized and supported America Supports You group.
This summer, be a part of the excitement of America Supports You TOUR events around the country and tee up for a great cause. The summer’s events include not only tournaments, but also banquets, concerts, and “play where the pros play” events when you can play a round on a PGA TOUR green.
