The First Annual Father & Son Golf Classic was a huge success! The field was sold out and first place trophies were awarded to the winning teams in three divisions (sons under 12, 12-18, and 19 and over).

There were special trophies awarded to three “Father’s of the Year” and three “Son’s of the Year.” Each father and son was asked to write a brief essay describing what made his son or father so special.

“This was the hardest job I’ve ever had to do,” said Larry Hoffman, outing coordinator, when describing the process of choosing the three winning fathers and sons.

The event featured skill prizes on every hole for both the fathers and sons. Dinner was served after a fun day of golf at Tom’s Run Golf Course. What a very special day

for fathers and their boys to get together for a great day of golf! Most important, it gave them the opportunity to spend some quality time together. From the response from all of the participants, it looks like this event will be around for many years to come.
